The HOBY ILCS Staff Experience

Every year HOBY ILCS scouts 60-75 volunteers to help make the seminar happen.  Our volunteers range from 16-45 and provide support both off and on-site.
The volunteers are split into two groups as follows:
- Jr. Staff: alums of the program who are under the age 21.
- Sr. Staff: alums, community members, and honorary HOBYs who are over the age 21.

2016 Staff Expectations
  • Make every effort to attend at least 1 of the 2-3 Jr. Staff meetings and workshops. 
    • You will not be penalized if you cannot make these meetings.
  • Attend the All Staff Training Day in its entirety. To be held one month before the seminar in different regions 
  • Complete the Pre-Seminar Forms Packet and sign the Code of Conduct
    • If age 18+ by the seminar you must fill out the Background Check Form
  • Maintain transparency and keep lines of communication open.
  • Be open and honest when conflicts arise. We are here to help you!
